Vegetable Macaroni Soup

1 cup macaroni
2 carrots, chopped or 1/4 cup dehydrated
1/2 medium cabbage, chopped or 1/2 cup dehydrated
1 slice bacon or bacon bits (optional)
1 bouillon cube
1/2 cup mixed dried vegetables
1 pkg. dried tomato soup
1 Tbsp. margarine
1 Tbsp. parsley
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
8 cups water
1 onion

Fry bacon until crisp. Sauté onion in bacon fat and margarine. Mix with other ingredients. Add water and bring to a boil. Simmer about 20 minutes.
